Today’s knit stitch pattern is called Maze pattern in the book 750 Knitting Stitches although I think it looks like window panes. What I love about this stitch pattern is that it’s reversible.
I find reversible patterns fun to work with and I’ve explored several others in my previous posts such as this one from the Reversible Knitting Stitches Book. That stitch pattern was the basis of my Pebble Path Cowl.
Knit stitch pattern Swatch Details
This knitting pattern is a 13 stitch and 20 row repeat. For my swatch, I used U.S. Size 7 knitting needles, worsted weight yarn and I cast on 26 stitches. I knit the pattern twice for a total of 40 rows. The swatch measures approximately 6 1/2 inches wide and 7 inches long.
I’m envisioning several types of projects with this stitch pattern. I think it would work well in an afghan, tote bag, spa cloth, or even a scarf or cowl. How would you use this stitch pattern?
