Today’s stitch pattern in called Carolina Squares and is a stitch pattern that is reversible.
It is blocks of Irish Moss stitch and blocks of knit and purl rows. I cast on 1 repeat of the 21 stitch pattern and knit 30 rows using U.S. Size 7 knitting needles and worsted weight yarn. The complete pattern is actually 42 rows.
This is another pattern from Wyndlestraw Designs book entitled Reversible Knitting Stitches. I continue to find fascinating stitch patterns in this book.
I would like to try this pattern using a bulky weight yarn. I believe it would be a great texture and would work well in a scarf or an afghan.
How would you use this stitch pattern?
Very pretty pattern and unique, too.
