This week I swatched a stitch pattern titled Comets although it reminds me of pieces of wrapped candy strung on a ribbon.

This is a simple pattern of multiples of 10 stitches plus 9 stitches and 20 rows.  I cast on 19 stitches and knit 30 rows so that we could see the full pattern.  The piece is knit with worsted weight yarn on U.S. size 7 needles.  The round sections are raised and add texture to the piece.

Imagine using part of this pattern as a border of lollipop looking accents.  What type of project would highlight this stitch pattern?
