2016 has been a year of change in my life. I knit each day, did some weaving and a bit of sewing. Here’s a few of the projects that kept me grounded throughout the year.
I love to weave simple mats on my loom. This is a tote bag that I created with 10 of the large size mats. It’s sturdy cotton and I’ve been using it all year. It’s gone to the Beach and off to the store to carry the groceries. The handles are detachable and it is machine washable. I’m making another one of these now.
I completed a new collection of Dishcloth Dress Knitting Patterns. This is a preview of one of the designs. The collection will be published in 2017. I’ll let everyone know as soon as it’s available.
I finished this blanket that I started last year. There’s more details in my blog post of September 28, 2016.
I continued to make progress on my special project featuring Henry the 5 inch knit bear. They’ll be more news about Henry in 2017.
I completed and introduced this Bell Skirt Dress for the mini Corolle Doll. The pattern is available in my pattern shop here.
This 3 piece set for a new baby girl was knit throughout the Fall and gifted to the new parents along with these favors for the Baby shower.
Stitch Pattern Saturday has given me a chance to try knitting a new stitch pattern each week. Inspired by this post, I designed the Diamond Spa Cloth.
And for a change of pace, I began attending a ceramic class and finished this yarn bowl.
There’s still at least 10 projects on my knitting needles that I’ll continue to work on in 2017. Some will be completed, some will wait. It’s the process that I enjoy so I’m not really in a hurry to finish these items. I’ll continue to share my projects with you in addition to Stitch Pattern Saturday and my Sunday Quote Photos. Happy New Year to all!
