I received my Nexus 10 Tablet as a gift for my retirement from my career as a Business Administrator at the end of June. It has quickly become a favorite. I keep it close by throughout the day and take it with me wherever I go.
I immediately decided that it needed a unique cover to keep in safe while it was in my purse or knitting bag. Here is the finished sleeve.

The yarn is Berroco Weekend. It is 25% cotton and 75% acrylic. The colors that I used are Cerulean Blue (5942) and Vanilla (5902) The contrast produced a sharp, crisp color combination.
Although the stitch looks complicated, it’s really simple, changing color every two rows. Here’s the stitch directions:
Row 1 (RS) Color (A) *k1, bring yarn to front of work, slip 1 as if to purl* repeat from * to *, ending with Knit last 2 stitches
Row 2 Color (A) *P1, bring yarn to back, slip 1 as if to purl*, repeat from * to *, ending with purl last 2 stitches
Row 3 Using Color (B) Repeat Row 1
Row 4 Using Color (B) Repeat Row 2
This stitch pattern has a nice texture and provides the tablet with some protection.
I added a triangular flap and a button and buttonhole closure.
And can you think of a better way to celebrate my new found freedom than a beach vacation. Here’s my knitting at the beach early in the morning. What a great way to start the day. Knitting at the beach!
