In my blog post of May 31, 2009, I discussed the start of this top. I was really enthused about the pleats at the neckline. This weekend, I completed the top.
The pleats were quite simple to make. The directions call for using 3 double pointed needles, placing four stitches on each and then holding the stitches in a pleat, knitting 3 stitches together, one from each needle. Another great thing about this design is that it was knit completely in one piece. There is no sewing or finishing required. The neckline is the highlight of this very simple top.
I’m looking forward to adding it to my wardrobe.
