As far as I’m concerned, this was the first official weekend of my summer season. I get so much done because there aren’t as many demands on my time at this time of year. I left work at noon on Friday and by 2 p.m., I was in my studio. I decided to finish this dishcloth. I started it months ago. It’s the traditional Grandma’s Favorite but I did it with 3 colors to match a dress dishcloth that I had knit. When I finished, I didn’t like the way the strands were showing from the color change, so I did a single crochet border. I’m really happy with it.
The thrill of finishing something led me to take out another half finished project. These fingerless glove are made from wool that was in my stash. I only had 2 skeins so these gloves were a perfect way to use the yarn. I finished the first one months ago and the second one was about one inch long. In an hour or so, I had finished the other glove.
Then I finished another dishtowel topper that I started awhile ago and made this coordinating dress dishcloth. This pattern isn’t written out yet .
I just love this time of year. Now it’s on to completing my red socks. I just turned the heel of sock two…. and then who knows what else I might actually Finish!
