Since finishing my cable socks last weekend, I’ve been working on a different WIP every day this week. I haven’t settled in to make progress on any one yet. Right now, there’s 2 sweaters, 2 afghans, 2 scarves, and many socks. This usually happens after I work on one project for several weeks. At least I didn’t start another new project this week. I wore my new socks yesterday to a special Saturday meeting at work. I had to make a presentation and nothing makes me feel better than wearing socks that I’ve made when I have to speak in front of a group.
When I got home, the new Patternworks catalog was with the mail. It’s their 30th Anniversary Spring Catalog and the 12th year the row keeper bracelet (page 48) has been in the catalog. My personal favorite is the Short-Sleeve Cable Cardigan on page 12. I may order that this week. Also the Empire Waist cardigan on page 25 made with Provence by Classic Elite. It’s a cotton yarn and the cardigan will be great for summer days in the office or mall. Namaste has a mini cozy for my dpn that I must have and the new Yarn Dots for knitter’s are terrific. I’m sure I’ll be placing more than one order from this catalog.
I also made time to do some sewing. I’ve started 2 more tote bags with the leather handles. They are approximately 8 inches by 9 inches and very convenient to use. I use mine to carry my small knitting projects or the mail or my snacks when I go to the office.
